What exactly is Casava?

Casava is a specialized property search engine and lead generation platform designed specifically for Spanish real estate agency websites. It plugs into your existing WordPress website and provides an ultra-fast search experience for your visitors by indexing listings from various MLS sources like Resales Online, and listings you manage within the Casava management panel. It provides features like full SEO indexing and Google sitemap generation for all properties, email alerts for new properties and price drops and more. It's an enterprise-grade property search system for your website for € 1,200 per year excl. VAT.

Is my website supported?

As it stands we support all WordPress websites running PHP 7.x or 8.x. Non-WordPress websites will be supported soon. If you're interested, please get in touch.

Do I need to replace my whole website?

Not at all. Casava is designed to work as a plugin for your current WordPress site. We handle the property search and listing pages, keeping your branding and other pages exactly as they are.

Can I try Casava first?

I don't have a website yet. Can you help?

If you don't have a website yet or if you want to replace your current website with a modern and fresh new one please feel free to reach out and we'll be happy to discuss options and pricing. To give you a ballpark estimate, most agency websites end up costing between €1,500 and €4,500 excl VAT. That excludes the yearly Casava fee.

MLS & Integrations

Which MLS platforms do you support?

All of them, as long as they provide an XML feed. If you use an MLS that we do not support yet just contact us and we'd be happy to add support for it!

How often are listings updated?

Listings from all MLS sources are updated every night, ensuring your website reflects the latest availability, price changes, and new properties. Changes to Casava-listings (including listings imported from any MLS) happen instantly.

I do not use an MLS like Resales Online, can I still use Casava?

Absolutely! There is no need to use any MLS at all. You can manage your own listings right from the Casava management panel without connecting to any third party property database. You'll get all the same speed, features and SEO benefits.

How is Casava so fast?

Without getting too technical: we use a combination of modern techniques, high quality code, highly optimized databases and specialized software to achieve blazing-fast performance.

My website is slow, will Casava run fast?

Casava almost entirely bypasses your own hosting provider for most functionalities, including the property search system. Even if your host or website is slow, Casava will be blazing-fast.

How does Casava help my SEO?

Every property listing is generated with optimized meta tags, clean URLs, and structured data schemas. We also provide the option to automatically add all property listings to your sitemap. Long-tail search pages such as "Apartments in Marbella" can also get added to your sitemap automatically, strengthening your internal link tree.

How much does it cost?

Casava has a single, transparent tier. It costs €1,200 per year excl VAT, which includes all features, integrations, and future updates. Visit our Pricing page for more details.

Why does Casava cost €1,200 per year? What am I paying for?

Casava is a fully hosted platform, meaning we're paying and are responsible for the hosting and maintenance to keep our platform blazing fast, secure and operational. Please understand that we're not just selling you some code that your own website runs, we're selling a fully hosted platform that comes with operational costs. The reason for this is that the features that Casava offers simply aren't possible on most shared hosting providers that agencies use.

Are there additional costs?

Nope. Casava is a complete package, offering all it's features for a fixed yearly license fee, regardless of which features you use or how many visitors your website gets. Installation is free.

What do you need to install Casava on my website?

Apart from access to your WordPress website, nothing! Your Casava license comes with completely free installation into your existing website. 100% peace of mind.

How long does it take for you to install Casava into my website?

Usually we can switch your website over within a week's time, but no guarantees. It all depends on our current workload. Please contact us for an up-to-date estimate. When you've signed up for Casava we'll schedule your implementation and we'll let you know when the big day will be.

What about maintenance and updates?

Because Casava is a hosted platform and runs on our own servers, your website will automatically receive all Casava updates. The yearly fee covers all maintenance, updates and includes all future Casava features.

Technical

How does Casava work technically?

Casava is a hosted property platform. This means that almost all code running Casava is either hosted on our servers or runs on our servers. The Casava WordPress plugin is very basic: apart from some housekeeping tasks all it does is queue Casava's Javascript files that are hosted on our CDN. These Javascript files bootstrap all Casava widgets on the browser based on initial state that the WordPress plugin retrieves from our (superfast) APIs. The dynamic widgets then contact Casava's servers directly for things like property search queries. This means that - once your page is loaded - Casava bypasses your own server for it's property system, keeping Casava blazing-fast, even if your hosting provider is slow (such as shared hosting).

Can we use the Casava API ourselves?

We plan to allow Casava-API usage by our customers but this is currently not allowed or supported. If you have a need for this please reach out to us, we like to understand how many agencies have a need for this.

Can we make changes to the way Casava works or looks?

Due to the technical setup (hosted database and hosted Javascript applications) you cannot edit any Casava code. This is by design: we're not selling you a WordPress plugin, we're selling a hosted property platform. Most Casava widgets come with a bunch of configurable options which you can access from your management panel. If you want to make changes that are not configurable please feel free to contact us and we'd be happy to think with you in how we can achieve your wishes. Technically everything is possible so please do not hesitate to reach out.

What about updates?

Almost all updates we deploy only include changes on our side and therefore do not require any updates to the WordPress plugin. We do ask you for access to your website in case we do need to deploy an update that requires changes to the WordPress plugin. An upcoming version of our WordPress plugin will self-update after which we won't need access to your website (apart from potential issues with the auto-update system).

Our website does not run WordPress!

Casava currently only supports WordPress but was designed for any CMS or even custom websites. We do want to officially support non-WordPress websites very soon but for now please reach out to us and we'll be happy to discuss options and timelines.
